"Would you say HE looked in to the gift horse's mouth, and then walked around to the other end and put his head up it's ass?"

Precisely. HE was going to put adults in charge. HE was going to fix all the things Clinton did "wrong". HE was going to restore respect to the US. HE was going to do so many things.

Wound up screwing everything up. And he started early and never let up. You have to wonder, it is possible for someone to be that incompetent? I mean, nothing he tried ever worked out. But, according to Tench, Clinton didn't do squat yet nearly everything he touched turned to gold.

Based on the track record, it is a shame the universal health care got shot down. It would have been a model for the rest of the world...

Chris, > Consider that Clinton handed Bush a budget surplus, the mildest recession in modern history, no active wars going on, an effective anti-terrorism operation and a happy, prosperous and hopeful people.

About the only thing Clinton was "responsible" for was convincing his die-hard constituents that everything good that happened on his watch was his doing and everything bad that happened on his watch (and beyond) was the fault of the GOP.

"Divide and conquer." A real Clinton legacy.
