Mackey was trying to trash Wild Oats via Yahoo while he was planning to make a bid.

If he isn't prosecuted he should at least be sued by Wild Oats shareholders. It certainly looks like attempted manipulation.

At the very least, his posts clearly show what he thinks of shareholders of both company's - just sheep to be herded to the organic slaughter house of his choosing.

He is the polar opposite of Patrick Byrne.

Regards,

RC

I participated on two Yahoo threads (Littlefield and Simulations Plus) where the CEOs regularly posted under their own names. They both were very responsible and limited their postings to facts. Neither individual made any attempts to pump their stock. though it could be argued that their mere participation was an effort to promote the company and the stock. I think that both individuals stopped posting on the advice of their attorneys.

It may not have necessarily been illegal for John Mackey to post under an alias, but it certainly showed poor judgment on his part.

I wonder how this information got discovered.
