Oh.....I think there is plenty of room for reform and restructuring of NATO. But I think there is room for reform in many world bodies designed to defend and protect.

I like your idea, but I don't think it is practical. There needs to be ongoing mutual and consistent message sharing and agreement between participating nations. And lots of human interaction needs to take place so that parties can agree on courses or action. Of course this takes lots of money and I'm thinking participating nations are not inclined to change the dynamics.

I could stand to study the issue more, but I think the US govts position states that the U.S. and Europe form a single community of values, interests, and responsibilities. Not to say that there aren't disagreements, but they do share common goals.

I don't what gave you the impression I supported NATO in its current form?
