<Saddam retained his WMD ambitions> I doubt most people would consider Saddam's "ambitions" as a reason to send their sons and daughters to their deaths in a worthless and reckless invasion of Iraq that would end up harming US national security. As for my sentiments towards Saddam, I would rather that tens of thousands of fine Americans were alive and well today rather than dead or crippled, and I would rather that we had actually had the leadership capable of prosecuting a real war on terror rather than waste our military capability on a petty grudge against a broken down thug like Saddam... What I really wish is that Bush would resign so we could get on with cleaning up the terrible mess he has been making of US foreign policy.
