That makes sense jack. I am getting debt free as fast as possible but like you say my steady job the last 20 some years keeps everything in motion.

Perhaps it is my Scottish heritage that makes me allergic to debt. I can't even see taking on everyone's favorite form of debt these days, a mortgage. If I ever buy a place it will be all cash.

I do have some credit cards, but have only paid interest a few times when I screwed up and paid off the balance on the wrong card.

I just can't see tying myself to a debt obligation at this point in both history and my life.
