Someone like Webb should have some positive ideas....but look at his face....he is just snarly. What an ugly man.

Yeah.. he's a real disappointment as a Senator, IMO.

Didn't vote for him, but I expected a man with his governmental experience to be a more positive force in the Senate, especially towards moderating his more extreme fellow democrats. He's been in charge of a DOD department. He understands that the military leadership's job is to provide the tactical strategy for accomplishing the national goals. And as they relate to Iraq, the majority of the US congress voted for overthrowing Saddam's regime. It matters not if the intelligence was flawed or not. They cast their vote and set the course for our national goals and we have a responsibility of deriving a favorable outcome as a result.

So criticizing Bush for any failures can only go so far. Military leadership, responsible for strategy on the ground, must bare some heat on all of this.

And we must ALL look at what the consequences will be of leaving Iraq in a state of disorder, and vulnerable to Iran or any other country intent upon destabilizing it. A diplomatic solution is always desirable, but it requires the involvement of all parties and I suggest that Iran has not shown a willingness to come to the table in a credible manner.
