Hamas doesn't want golf courses and resorts in Gaza. They want Religious Schools and Jihadist Training Camps. They want their women to NOT be seen and NOT be heard. Let's let Hamas SHOW how brilliant they are in trying to actually RUN a society rather than just trying to destroy one.

Like it or not, the Saudi royal family is the custodian of Islam, in terms of being the custodians of Mecca and Medina. No deal can be done without their approval.

I agree with you on the repression and as far as I'm concerned its a very flawed society. Their has to be Arab input in any agreement in Palestine and the Saudis with their wealth and influence can do much better than the Egyptians. <<Let the Palestinians and Israelis work out a peace solution between each other other, and screw the rest of the outsiders (including the US)>> Pure fantasy.....never will happen unless mediated and brokered by the US and an Arab consensus. The last 6 and a half years have basically been a fine example of how Israel deals with the Palestinians without much outside influence. The three state solution is an interesting concept. Bottom line there has to be an independent Palestinian state in any solution. The Palestinians need to realize that Israel has got to be recognized and the Israelis need to compromise on land for peace.
