Actually, it is. Most malpractice suits have such high dollar tags attached because they factor in the cost of health care of the injured over their estimated life span. Which is why malpractice insurance for obs is so high. So, with smaller or no medical costs for those victims, the cost of malpractice insurance should go way down.

However, the problem of malpractice can be greatly reduced if the AMA did what they are supposed to do, which is police their members. Most of the malpractice claims are filed against a small minority of docs. But, instead of taking a tough stance, the AMA protects the bad docs. Even move them around to other states when things get too hot for them.
