Algore gets to spread his message AND collect $100,000 in the balance. Pretty neat deal.

Al Gore, $100,000 Man

No SUV when Democrat hits road for "Environmental Multimedia Lecture"

JULY 17--If you're looking to book Al Gore for a 75-minute "Environmental Multimedia Lecture," the former vice president will cost you $100,000, plus travel, hotel, security, and per diem expenses. Gore's standard speaker's contract, a copy of which you'll find below, also stipulates that the Democrat's ground transportation be "a sedan, NOT an SUV." Additionally, Gore requests that speech sponsors make every effort to use a hybrid vehicle for his transport. The Gore contract, which is more restrained than the one used by Rudolph Giuliani, stipulates that no press be permitted at the event and that the Democrat receive approval over the distribution of photographs from the appearance. Gore's contract for a May 21 appearance at the University of California, San Diego was released by the school. Though the contract seeks "absolute confidentiality" when it comes to the deal's terms, since UCSD is a public university, the California Public Records Act requires that the document be released upon request. OK- I know I am starting to sound like the fact police.
But Chilean bass isn't an endangered species. It does get overfished, as does tuna. It's served in lots of restaurants.

And I am just SURE that Al asked all the right questions!

What can restaurateurs do to ensure they are buying legal Chilean sea bass?

Restaurateurs should insist that their fish brokers verify the source of their Chilean sea bass and buy the fish only if you are shown the proper documentation.

This is just too priceless. The global warming god and lead environmentalist of the friggen world serves endangered fish at his daughters wedding. You just can't show more hypocrisy then this prick.

To quote all the liberals in congress: "To show even the slightest hint of impropriety is unacceptable".

OTOH, maybe Gore put a disclaimer on each menu card saying something to the effect that: "No illegal Chilean Sea Bass were served at my daughter's Beverly Hills wedding".

Yeah right. Just like his conservation of energy by flitting around the country in his SUV and G5 jet.

Some of the statements in this article are downright shocking. I buy Chilean Sea Bass at my local grocery store on occasion. If it is so endangered, how do they get it through customs?

edit: See this and other questions popping up here. Should I feel guilty when I eat Sea Bass?
