Wouldn't him being suspended by the league itself relieve the team of any obligation?

This is SUCH a publicity black eye for the team and the NFL... they need to react. I'm not sure they realize the revulsion of 50 million football fans that are also pet owners. Right or wrong, he could have killed somebody and a lot of people would be less upset.

(My WAG) Michael Vick takes the field in any stadium in the country, including Atlanta, and he gets booed consistently for the entire game. I wouldn't watch a game where he played.

Strictly from a publicity standpoint, the NFL and the Falcons need to jump in front of this ugly mess.

From a personal standpoint I would like to take a baseball bat to him... and I'm a non-violent guy.
