So they have an election, and Israel doesn't like who gets elected. Well, sure- elections are like that. Democracy isn't always about seeing the best group get elected. Sometimes violent nuts get elected.

Is that what you're talking about? The taxes? That I think are collected for the Palestinians based on their right to collect taxes? So Israel doesn't want to give the Palestinians their own tax money.

Israel can certainly DO that, but I'm not sure it's a good idea, since Iran will step in and garner more authority in the region. So what does Israel gain? Some Pal money. BFD
