Well, it looks to me like you ignored my comments and questions and just went off on an aimless rant. Nothing there addressed the contradictions between:

a) your ideas of threatening ME leaders (and threatening to bomb Iran back to the 8th century) and

b) your desire to apologize to the world for removing Saddam;

or between

a) your desire to promise never to do anything unilateral and give the UN control of our foreign policy and

b) while unilaterally pulling out of a UN approved mission, which Iraq is right now.

Re. some of your other themes:

..where we educate the world in our universities
The US is in fact continuing to educate people from all over the world just as we've been doing for decades. In 2005, 566K visas were issued for foreign students - about as many as we've ever had. Foreign students are about 4.5% of the students in our universities, up from about 3% in the mid 1990's. The only thing thats changed since 2001 is nrew procedures for tracking foreign students and better background checks - both very appropriate considering some of the 911 attackers were here on student visas.

Re: US putting its best foot forward abroad with leadership on energy and climate change ...

What would you call this:

Australia, China, India, Japan, Republic of Korea and United States have founded a partnership to address energy security, climate change and air pollution issues. The six countries combined represent more than half of the world's economy, population and energy use, and produce half of the world's greenhouse gas emissions. .....

Blather is one thing. Reality another.

The US, working with other nations, has gotten Gaddafi to give up his nuclear development program, gotten Charles Taylor to leave Liberia, has increased humanitarian aid to Africa especially relating to diseases, gotten NK to apparently give up their nuclear program (cross our fingers on that one). Right now, Iran is the one remaing rogue nation flouting international law re. proliferation. An improvement over the past when there were several such nations. Not to mention international efforts like the afore-mentioned AP6 environmental initiative. No neglible accomplishments. And all achieved without quadrupling our diplomatic corps.
