Don't you think if it were a bad Executive Order, that it would have been eliminated some time in the last 10 years?

Sun, what is your big problem with this issue?

If you don't have anything to hide and are not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about (unless you are a money grubbing lawyer).

The legal system in this country now a days actually protects evil doers at the expense of innocent prospective victims.

I don't think it is blatantly "illegal" per se. Government can seize your assets for a number of reasons, including for tax evasion. But it is just a very bad executive order and I don't think congress can do much about this.

Sun,
Long time no talk.

There are numerous outs available for those who must hide money...under the pillowcase, in the attic, in the freezer, etc.

War and attacks and the threat of more attacks create unusual reactions even in a "free" country. We have imposed harsh restrictions and responses in the past to protect and defend ourselves.

Even as you object, remember this, in the past, and in America, the special rules adapted for national defense purposes during war time were always rescinded after the hostilities ended.

It will have to go to the Supreme Court, that despite being populated with supposedly "conservative" judges, has shown less regards for personal property or liberty in recent years than I'd like.

ST, you seem to be looking for oppression where there has been none. This is the symptom that started right after 911 by the Left to take the side of the terrorists by defending any "rights" you think we may have lost. GITMO is a classic example of this.

When all is said and done, the main censorship I have witnessed that has actually happened is being inflicted on College Student's free speech rights.

We have been waaay over backwards to give these Salafi bastards the benefit of the doubt. What should have happened is a mass deportation of Salafi Muslims here on Visas and Green cards. Instead, we coddle these assholes.

And we are going to pay for this in the future.

Oh.....don't worry. If someone is nabbed and "kept incognito" at least his/her family will know. Then all they have to do is take that information to Brian Ross or the NYTs and everyone and his uncle will know it within seconds and all will be well.
