Haven't the Saudis done both the first and the second by turns? The trick is, you have to point these extremists at some other target besides yourself. Yep, good point... Although the Saudis have been far more covert about it, we know that this has been case in order to maintain "legitimacy" in the eyes of their more fanatical clerical base... But it is an issue that any Iranian moderate element will have to deal with. And the militants won't go down without a fight.. Hawk
