I used only $3.5k for my down payment.

That was a while ago, Tim. My down payment was only $2k, but that was thirty some years ago. It would take more than I paid for my home to make a down payment on it or any other home in this area right now.

They'll have to move if they want home and family.

Obviously, some people haven't learned the basic "There is a difference between NEED and WANT".....

It is my firm belief that all kids should be taught this concept very early in their life.

It doesn't mean we can't have what we "want"....but when we have learned the concept, we can better understand the difference and priority.
