AQ existed and it was both a lose knit association of radical groups and an organization headed by OBL. That hasn't changed much. It didn't exist in Iraq as a strong hold that would represent a battle front to the USA until after our invasion in Iraq ... which Bush has taken responsibility for.

It has been the right wing idea to draw them out in this way. The left wing counter argument has been that we should go after them where they are. The left wing approach has not been operationalized yet.

Show your evidence that AQ existed in Iraq before Bush was elected. You apparently know something at least 4 investigating committees deny.
FYI, AQ of Iraq is not the same organization as AQ.... Bush know s that, but it's a little detail he forgets to mention....
