Your characterization of American troops as lawless bloodthirsty killers is false. The military has rules of engagement and punishes infractions, even though the punishment may not be what you would wish. It must also be remembered that the Iraqi gov't and the UNSC both have the power to end the MNF authorization, but have regularly renewed it. Further it should be pointed out that the terrorists Americans and Iraqis are fighting really are lawless murderers, planting bombs in markets, on streets, committing atrocities to terrorize the population.
