I am no longer comforted when they tell me inflation is not a problem - if you remove the volatile food and energy components.

And neither one, in this case, is having it's prices raised by "inflation." I am so sick of the MSM, and many economists, not defining the term better.

Inflation is a price rise caused by the money supply increasing faster than productivity. What is happening with food and energy is a supply and demand problem, not an inflation problem.

Everybody combines the two and calls them "inflation" because it's easier than being precise.
