IIRC, Techron and all other additives on the market are actually just licensed versions of a product developed by Unocal some years ago. I'm curious to know whether or not you know of different information? As it happens, I use all three: Unocal, Chevron and Costco.

BTW, You and I may disagree with them, but Consumer Reports continues to to insist that their tests show that gas is gas is gas regardless of brand or additives. In Northern California, almost all the gas comes from a couple of refineries and, I've been told more than once, any additives are put in the gas there. Have no idea if that is true, but the distribution trucks filling up the tanks at my Unocal stations are often owned by the same company that fills up Chevron stations in the area.
