My great weakness is pasta.

Me too. However, as foods go, they can be quite healthy if you go with whole-wheat or other flavored pasta, like spinach pasta instead of white flour pasta. There are a lot of good brands of these alternative pastas out there. The difference in flavor is hardly noticeable or masked fairly well by the tomato sauce. The problem is the amount we pasta lovers tend to eat at one sitting. A good strategy is to eat more slowly so feeling full has a chance to set in before gorging.

BTW, how are dad and mom-in-law doing?

I'm going to the movies right now, and you can bet that popcorn IS on the menu!! (It's probably why I'm going to the movie in the first place <snicker>

As for your mission to clean up your diet for a few days, don't forget to drink lots of water!!

I feel that it has been my focus on water intake this week which has been one of the keys to my losing a fair amount of weight already....and it is probably why I am not craving carbs and fat. Everytime I think I am "Hungry" I have made it a point to have a large drink of water, even if I am about to prepare a meal.

I have found that the desire to pig-out is removed, and when I am not about to eat, I don't feel like eating the first thing I see.

Regards,
WIJ

PS: I do want to try and make the meatloaf recipe that was posted earlier; I think I might be able to do it without screwing it up too bad....maybe try next Sunday!! ;-)
