He fired scuds into Israel with NO WMDs. There was no evidence he had them and plenty that he didn't He used chemical weapons in the Anfal campaign of 1988 - 89. Then in 1991 he fired SCUDs without chemicals into Israel and Saudi Arabia. And this proves exactly how that he no longer possessed them at that point? Please enlighten me. This would be a different conversation if we were speaking of someone who hadn't used chemical weapons quite copiously during the entire Iran-Iraq war. But Saddam did have them and use them then. You're not disputing that point, I hope.

He may have denied having them to avoid war with us but he over the years had deliberately leaked that he had them to ward off iran and try to shoo us away. Denial was for the weapon teams. What goes on in the arab world is not understood by the arabs so how can we understand all the nuance. Bush admin failed. I was fooled. When i look back, i think Colin Powell making the case was the convincer for me. He must feel terrible now about having been used by cheney. Markets very shaky today.
