I have my own story from MRVC in 1999 to 2002.

Right now I keep wondering when it would be right to sell my ISRG. 70 times 2007 earnings, probably 50 times 2008.

Then I look at FSLR and I wonder about insanity in the markets.

Couple of things I remember that had nothing to do with stocks that I owned at the time.

In March 2000, some analyst was talking (or maybe in a written report) about one of the internet stocks. (It wasn't MRVC). He said, "it is trading at only 20 times next years sales". Do you think that might have been a signal? Nah, not to me........

And way back in the early 70s, when I used to go by a broker at lunch time to check the market, I remember remarking to a friend, that Levitz Furniture was trading at 100 times that years earnings (probably about 1970 or 71). That, of course, was the top.
