<There will never be peace through weakness, only subjugation> That is your answer? There are only your two alternatives, Israel can be weak or Israel can crush its enemies? This is the logic of somebody who does not want peace.

Massive wartime victory has a way of making the other party desire peace, or pretend to do so. There will never be peace through weakness, only subjugation.

All politics by another name. There are basically only four possible outcomes to a conflict: one side crushing the other, a negotiated settlement, petering out of hostilities due to general exhaustion, or the rise of a new power or revolutionized political situation renders the conflict moot.

Meantime the conflict can go on for hundreds of years in various stages of "peace", "war" and "truce".
