What about Hamas? Is it that simple?

You said earlier that the pals wanted a united pal state including land that is now israel. Which is it? This post of yours i am responding to below could just as easily been written by me in its entirety. I agree with every word. Who is your choice for mediator? I always thought the russians might be that party because of their history with the arabs and the large russian population in israel. See sarman if you stop the hyperbole, things can be resolved.

"It is simple really, the mediator has to be fair and impartial.
The Israelis want security.
The Palestinians want total control and sovereignty over the West Bank and Gaza and the right of return. RoR can be worked out by simply compensating the refugees for their lost land.
East Jerusalem is the trickier part but not impossible to solve."

Wait a minute, you've glossed over the deal breaker. The right of return can be worked out by denying the right of return, but paying a cash settlement? I've never heard that one before. It's called the right of return for a reason, the main reason being to be able to return if they so choose.
