I respectfully disagree. People flood to Walmart to save a buck on toilet paper. Not everyone, but enough. What would they do when faced with tens and hundreds and thousands of dollars in choices? It's one thing to research on one's own the place to get one's prescription for Lipitor filled at the best price. It's another to debate the relative merits of Lipitor against, say, Pravachol when one costs a dollar more but has two more risk factors.

I guess we can't settle this. Just lodging my disagreement.

The only time a doctor of mine ever recommended something that I had to pay for myself, it was quite an exercise.
