But it's pretty easy to believe some of it is lies. If you look at the mistakes that were made before the Iraq war wrt "intelligence", it's not a stretch to believe that false information is often believes by many people, and frequently circulated as truth. How annoying that would be if the false evidence were personal, and about you- and if you were wealthy, I'd imagine you'd do exactly with this man is doing. I realize innocent until proven guilty is an odd concept that probably doesn't apply here, but libel and slander are so easy, and so widely and cheerfully practiced, it wouldn't surprise me if it were all false.

But the reason I commented is that it's not a very surprising story, and since the woman didn't show up, and didn't put up any evidence, it's not a huge surprise she didn't win. I thought the spin on it was fairly misleading.
