Pirasa, > A $100 ASP implies at least 13 million units, and surely AMD did not have $100 ASP back in Q4 06 (did it ever?)

I can believe somewhere closer to 13M units, considering that a large chunk of AMD's revenue comes from servers. Remember, AMD had 22.3% of the server market in Q4 2006.

> I am watching AMD closely as I go along. Have been following the company for 11 years now. I suggest you do the same if you will put your money in any kind of, long or short, AMD position.

LOL, I've been following both INTC and AMD for 10 years now, so I only have one less year of "experience" than you do.

I don't know how many times I've heard it from the believers who think AMD can produce units like McDonald's makes french fries. I remember that argument when Fab 30 started up, and the same arguments popped up when Fab 36 opened up.

Yet AMD is deeper into debt than before and isn't likely to break even this year, despite your wildest fantasies. And you think that AMD can increase their production 33% in one year? And ramp up production of native quad-core parts to one million per quarter in just four months?

Do me a favor and spare me the whole "I'm older and smarter than you are" bullcrap. You are no different than any other believer in the AMD "crusade."
