Actually, I didn't care much about the semantics --I just felt right predicting the coupling of the Israeli-Arab (fraught) relationship with the US-Hispanic one. The completion of the US-Mexican fence should breed Latino terrorism just like Palestinian terrorism bred Israel's separation wall.... But now, I've come to favor a more cunning scenario where Nativist/racist extremists might plot a Hispanic 9/11 so to speak, in order to hasten the militarization of the US-Mexican border. Such a scheme becomes all the more possible when you factor in the need of a face-saver to make up for the Iraq pullout: once the Brits withdraw from Iraq, the (opinion) pressure on the US administration to follow suit will intensify and clinch with the border states' call to militarize the Mexican border --and Bob's your uncle!
