What do you think? Are the Brokerages pushing the program trading buttons the same people that packaged the loser loans and sold them off as AAA rated paper? What are they going to do to raise cash? <G>

Could you please explain what positive convexity means in the context of an equity portfolio?

I've heard of the term applied to a fixed income portfolio (higher interest rates = shorter duration would mean positive convexity), but I don't know how the concept can be applied to an equity portfolio.
