This thread is neither bearish or bullish. This thread is about making money. Bulls and bears are welcome. Nobody will be banned for their views.

Definitions:

Bear Market: 6 months below market high-water mark or potential 12% drawdown peak to trough.

Short-term: Less than 2 months
Medium-term: 6 months to 1 year
Long-term: 1 year+

Tactics: Short-term ideas to generate alpha within a longer-term Strategy

Discussion Topics:

Macro and Micro Analysis

The macro analysis is pretty self-explanatory. The micro analysis includes individual investment ideas you may be considering and are appropriate for the board to discuss and vet: actual commercial/residential real estate propositions you are considering, private equity ideas, to name a few things.

Morons:

Moronic posts will be greatly appreciated. They provide relief to those of us who actually make money or who have original ideas.

Mission Statement:

If you want to talk about “conspiracies”, go somewhere else. If you get angry that the “market is wrong”, get the hell out of here. If you want to deride others who have made good investments, so long. Members of this elite club will give credit where credit is due, but be prepared to be respectfully “outed” if you’re wrong.

Hopefully within this framework, we can all make money. Let's see where this takes us.
