How could we find this out?

I don't have our current army order of battle nor the current disposition of all units. This is an educated WAG.

In Afghan we have GEN McNeill, MG Rodriguez, and likely one one-star for a specific unit I am thinking of. Could be one more one star there. And I know one 2 star who floats in and out.

In Iraq, I believe we have two four stars, likely two 3 stars with a fourth I know moving in and out as needed, and I suppose about 12-15 one and two stars.

About 25 +/- total from a grand total of 309.

The reason for the big increase in GOs may be so the 670,000 civilian employees at DOD have a general to talk to about union complaints...and they are needed to review investigations and announce punishments of friendlies.
