I'm not sure it's due to increased enforcement. I think the word's getting around in Mexico that Americans don't want Mexicans coming up here and working illegally, and they won't be welcomed as before.

I think the border patrols have been stepped up and frankly that they see the negative sentiment of the debate and it discourages a lot from coming. May scare them a bit. Also Homeland Security is about to have a crackdown so employment may be drying up... Given the commentary of Latino leaders we should expect the US to fall into disrepair very quickly......bridges collapsing etc; fresh vegetables not getting harvested leading to the decline of the health and longevity of Americans; less baggage handlers and mechanics will mean more and more planes will late for arrival, etc. Oh wait, that's already happening!
