No one in NYC cares when the rust belt or even upstate NY goes into depression, Florida RE crashes or record foreclosures in Texas and Georgia become the norm either. Only when it impacts Wall Street in a big way do they take notice.. I guess financial weapons of mass destruction blowing up on a large scale will do that..
