I was there - I don't remember any Vietnam soldiers being "spat on" on returning from duty. I think it's just a promoted myth by the right wingnuts to flog their war mongers up into a lather. As someone who dodged the draft, I felt very sorry for those that fought in the dumbass, elective Vietnam war, and would have NEVER done such a thing. After all, the vast majority of them were DRAFTED - it's not like they WANTED to go there.
