cj,

So, the larger question is, has AMD put the ability to use either an inclusive or exclusive L3 in Shanghai?

IIRC, L3 in Barcelona is not strictly exclusive.

CJ, I think a better question is whether Shanghai is supposed to be AMD's lead vehicle on 45nm. If it is, I doubt they'd take a risk like enabling Z-RAM, an unproven technology that could delay their 45nm ramp if they can't get it to yield well or ramp in volumes. Personally, I wasn't expecting Z-RAM in the first place until AMD's 32nm node, or at the soonest, their 2nd generation 45nm node.
