All governments are involved in some form of socialism to various degrees. I wouldn't want to live in a society that didn't care for their elderly, young or sick, and just left them to fend for themselves. It would be a return to a feudal society.

To eliminate all socialism, one would have to plan to eliminate ALL taxes, and privatize everything. Corporations of the people and for the people. Come to think of it, maybe that's Bush's plan. <g>
