I repeat, the way you said it made it sound like it was the "underclasses" fault - "the "epidemic" of obesity is spreading from the underclass".

re: If this is news to you, your power of observation is very sub par.

My powers of observation are just fine... obesity in not a subject I concentrate on. I'm sure there are a few thing I know more about than you.

re: So the underclass (fat ass Democrats) started out the fattest and are still the fattest. But unfortunately, all the other income groups are catching up (which was my point).

So why is everyone getting fat? McDonalds? TV? Computers? You are the obesity expert so you must know.

BTW, speaking of fat asses and politics... do you believe that most of the "upperclass" are Republicans and the "underclass" are Democrats? How does that correlate with education and party affiliation? What is Rush Limbaugh's demographic?

Joe, > So the underclass (fat ass Democrats) started out the fattest and are still the fattest.

It's interesting to note that Michael Moore makes Rush Limbaugh look as athletic as Tiger Woods.

Different dynamics are associated with the rise in obesity, she said. “The fact is that obesity is increasing in all races, all income categories and at a faster rate with people in higher incomes. While factors are common to both the rich and the poor, there may be certain factors primarily affecting the poor, and a different set of reasons primarily affecting the rich.”

Some scientists have concluded that stress is making us fat. They have shown that stressful situations like those at work prompt people to experience the Fight or Flight response. However, the person can neither flee or fight. As a result the sugar that's the body releases in the form of adrenalin has no where to go. So the body restores it not as sugar but as fat and returns it not to the places from which it came but rather in the stomach area of men and on the hips of women.
