Game warden and locals outside chatting about hunting season already.

Read up on the gold mining and Nimiipoo history of the area before you make the trip. It will add immeasurably to your trip.

Some of that old gold mining stuff is still standing. From what I've seen of the Nimiipoo Southern Trail, the only signs are possible rock cairns along the way. Not even sure those aren't recent origin, but it would take a specialist to tell.

I'm looking in to that (the archeological aspect) as time permits.
