Someone likened China now to the US in the roaring twenties.
Yes a depression came but the base was good in the US and it was a creditor nation and able to overcome the ravages of the depression.
The US now is a huge debtor nation, and has no manufacturing base to speak of.
The Chinese are used to living on nothing, the US are overfed fat cats.
If a collapse comes, I would bet on China recovering faster then the US. I'm not sure that the US could recover at all.
