Since when has it been our obligation to show the world what freedom is? Your remarks certainly appear to endorse "nation building." Nation building has brought us to this point, and I don't care to further that cause thank you.

And who would they bomb and attack if we left their countries?

...and we secured our borders, increased our military defenses, expanded and refined our intelligence systems, and issued letters of marque to kill or capture known terrorists.

Those issues, among other points are conveniently left out of your rebuttal when you say he would do nothing. You have a lot of reading to do. As did Rudy when he opened his mouth during the debate and stuck his foot in it.

GZ, I think you're misstating Paul's position. His point is that using our US military against terrorists is like taking a sledge hammer to ants. That was why he suggested the issuance of "letters of marque and reprisal," or some sort of updated version of such a concept.

I'm not advocating that idea, but it does bear some merit in concept.
