I am not sure why you posted this to me, but when a column starts "Like a pig in muck, the left loves to wallow..." I go no further. (Not to mention that it was written by Kristol who isn't exactly an unbiased writer)

However, I asked my husband, who knows a lot about political history and has shelves of books on Vietnam, to read it, and he said it was rather haphazard and tortured, and that he was afraid he didn't agree with your excited sportscast of "He scores- and scores again!"

I'm thrilled Bush brought this up. It's about time it got thrashed over and the conventional wisdom about Vietnam upturned and questioned. The victors wrote history, and the victors were the anti-war movement.

For cripes sake it's time to exorcise the ghost of Vietnam once and for all and be done with it.

I had forgotten that the Cambodian PM Matak said these words until I looked up the actual images (just posted them) I knew the Communists of NVN killed him, but didn't know they left him with shot in his stomach, and it took him 3 days to die an agnogizing death.

As for you, and in particular for your great country, I never believed for a moment that you would have this sentiment of abandoning a people which has chosen liberty.
