Sadly it's the breeders searching for desired traits that bring all of this to us. They've ruined the Irish setter breed to have this tall narrow headed show dog. Now the breed is basically retarded and so high strung that most have seizures. Just another example and sadly there are many more out there.

My next dog is going to be a Labradoodle.

Mix two smart breeds, keep the genepool vital, and you get a most excellent dog.

I've never understood the obsession with pure-breds. Unless you show them or sell them, who cares?
