I think it's typical of late in a lame duck admin. They are moving on. Gonzales should have moved on a lot earlier... in fact should never have been nominated or confirmed. Like Meyers and the USSC. It's amazing how the Bush admin had treated government service. Because they disrespect government so much, they just put in their friends, not actual qualified people into these hugely important positions. They figure any idiot can do it. So we somehow end up with a bunch of guys that hate government, running government. A sure formula for failure. And God knows it has been a failure... across the board. Even the Republican should take a lesson from this. Even if they don't like government, it's a fact of life. You have to at least want it to run as best it can.
