I stand by my statement ((The fact is that Communism is built squarely on the philosophical foundation of Materialist Atheism.)) The presupposition of Marx is that ALL that exists is material Man. I know it's easier to quote wickipedia than original sources but here you go. Notice how closely my statement is to Marx own words. Instead of actively promoting Atheism, Marx chooses instead to simply posit a materialism that has no need for God because for Marx; God does not exist anyway. He talks in terms of "real existence" for Man and in doing so, implies that God does not exist. That's clearly Materialism and Atheism.
