The only reason I am here is that my wife's job and mine do not lend themselves to moving. Otherwise, I'd be somewhere in the Rockies or the Texas Hill Country. I urge you to really think carefully about moving here. Crime and politics are terrible, and are often indistinguishable. I live Uptown, no more than 2 blocks from St. Charles Avenue, and a block away from Audubon Park. Our neighborhood has traditionally been crime-free. Not any more. I love this place, but I look forward to the days when I'll visit it as a knowledgeable insider.
