Mr. Bush is instructing Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to look into the subprime problem, figure out what happened and determine whether any regulatory or policy changes are needed to prevent a recurrence.

I bet a lot of folks will now purposely fall behind on their mortgage payments, so that they can get refinanced into government subsidized loans.

The savings will probably amount to hundreds of dollars a month, enough for an extra trip to a steak place each week or a bi-monthly trip to Vegas.
