Israel, no longer being a pawn in the US/USSR chess game, has no more importance to the US.
Israel can stand on its own two feet. If they fear Iran, fine. Let the 2 of them duke it out. If Syria wants to attack, Israel can deal with it. They are just like any other country, except the evangelicals who think they need the Jews to build another temple there so Jesus will land. Maybe with the secrets to cold fusion.

Regardless of how that game plays out, the US won't be impacted. Now, if Saudi Arabia did the Atlantis thing, we would be in a world of hurt. If Canada dropped off the face of the earth, ditto. Or Russia, with its 9M BPD of oil. And the gas it supplies for Europe. China..??..nobody would lend us money, but, on the other hand, the guys holding the debt don't exist. On the grasping hand, they make everything for us. On the 4th hand, a lot of it is hazardous to your health. And your dawg's health. Probably balances out.

We live in the New World, eh? The Americas are our playing field. Or were, until China started buying up the South. Let the Old World play its own games.
