I still don't understand why Larry Craig was forced to resign by the Republicans. (Certainly the Democrats weren't behind it).

If he is innocent, as he says, why not stay in office and serve Idaho while dealing with the unfortunate event. Sure, he pled guilty to a misdeameanor, but lots of members of Congress have been guilty of misdeameanors and continued to serve....many being handily reelected by their constituents.

Craig says he did nothing wrong, despite he plea.

Why the rush to judgement? I think he should have stayed and I think his former "friends" in the republican party should have given him some time to get things sorted out.
