Scary indeed. Thank you for the links. Its frightening to see what the combination of religious fundamentalism and desperation can produce in the human psyche. The only other comparison I can think of to this is the Kamakazi attacks in WWII.



Desperation? Why should they be desperate? They are a cause celebre for half the world, and are the world's largest per capita recipients of foreign aid. So why desperate?

None of the these passages look desperate to me. They are proud, fanatical, belligerent, hate-filled, even ecstactic - you can say all that. But not one says "we are desperate, we have tried everything else" Show me the desperate passage.

It's you that say that bobby. Like the rest of the Euro-Left you need to make excuses for such fanaticism because you don't want to believe it could be a free choice of men.
