re TOTALLY FACTORED IN

Its not wise to assume all is "factored in" in a dynamic situation.

just look at what happens on wall street...how may people say all news is already factored in to stock prices.

the middle east is not a simple math equation...

as you said plane hijackings stopped...... until 911

bare in mind also that 1979 brought the iranian revolution later russia invaded afghanastan.

there were also the camp david accords at work.

nadine ,look at the bigger picture.israel and palastine do not exist in isolation...now more than ever!

your "totally factored in" assumption is blind idiocy

<<Until they get tired & it stops working. Usually a bit of both.>>

I don't know when the last suicide bombing occurred in Israel but I'm betting it was a while ago? Certainly doesn't seem to be as frequent as a few years back.

From an article that c.hinton posted last night.....makes sense to me which means you'll probably totally disagree!

"For suicide bombing to continue unabated on the scale the West is experiencing it has to be sanctioned by radicalised Islamic clerics and to win popular support by the masses. Wise, well-informed, and co-operative foreign policy between Western nations, especially the dominant superpower of the United States, and Islamic societies is the only solution worth pursuing. Only by working together with Islamic societies can we secure long-term peace and security on the very small and fragile planet we share. Without solutions that integrate rather than divide, we can expect more volunteer ‘martyrs’ in defiance of an Israeli style security fence to line up at bus stops and walk into cafes and shopping centres with explosives strapped to their waist."
